Born and educated in S.E.London, Rob planned to be an art student or journalist on leaving school but instead joined British Transport Advertising. In 1981 he moved to Queensland where creative ambitions flourished as children’s author, copywriter, travel writer, TV sitcom writer and broadcaster. His ‘Bush Telegraph’ radio diary from down under ran weekly on the BBC until he returned to England in 1997. Since then he has taught media studies, published five children’s books and a novel, produced films for schools and been a full time voice over artist and presenter. His VO clients include Barclays – for whom he recorded a ten CD training manual for global distribution – EDF, BP, BBC, RBS, P & O Ferries, the NHS and other government departments. Recently an Australian novel for the RNIB. He has two sons and lives with his wife and cat in an ancient cottage near Hever, Kent.
